In light of the rising Omicron cases in the country, several states imposed a night curfew to keep a check on the spread of the infections.

The Karnataka government had on Sunday imposed night curfew and other sets of restrictions amid rising Omicron cases in the state. The night curfew has been imposed in the state for 10 days from December 28. "From December 28 onwards, for about ten days to begin with, we would like to watch by calling a night curfew, invoking Section 144, from 10 pm at night to the next morning at 5 am," state Health Minister Dr K Sudhakar said.
