Photo Gallery: Mumbai crippled by rains, heavy downpour hits maximum city

Mumbai battles a heavy downpour as monsoon hits the maximum city. Heavy rains have taken a toll on the traffic situation as well, as people are struggling to manage their day-to-day work. Several roads and subways have been shut down due to continuous rains to avoid flooding. The Maharashtra Government has declared July 2 as a public holiday, due to extreme rains and waterlogging issue. Here are the pictures explaining what Mumbai and Mumbaikars are facing:

Andheri Subway in Mumbai is closed due to flooding in the area. 

Fire Dept & Medical Health teams are conducting a rescue operation at the flooded site in Navghar Mithagar. One person has been rescued & transferred to DM Petit Hospital. 

Police & Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) workers help riders cross waterlogged roads in King's Circle area of Mumbai, following heavy rains in the city. 

Water enters Sakinaka Police Station in Mumbai. Several parts in the state are facing waterlogging and flooding due to heavy rainfall.
