Planning to get a COVID-19 vaccine shot? Check what documents are required
The government has issued a new notice in which it is stated that the COVID-19 vaccination drive will now include other age groups and that more hospitals will be roped in to help. These new changes will be implemented from March 1 onwards. Check out below the procedure and requirements to avail of the COVID-19 vaccine:
Which age groups can avail of the COVID-19 vaccine?
All citizens above 60 years of age, and those within the age bracket of 45 to 59 years with specified co-morbidities will be allowed to avail of the COVID-19 vaccine.

When will the government implement the new changes?
The Centre has released a list of private hospitals that can participate in the countrywide COVID-19 vaccination program which aims to vaccinate the age-appropriate groups from March 1 onwards.

Is registration required?
Registration is required for all and can be done by submitting the appropriate documents. The registration can be done online as well.

What documents will be required to get the COVID-19 vaccine?
Voter ID, Driving License, PAN Card, Service Identity Card, MGNREGA Job Card, Passport, Smart Card, Pension Identity Card, Office ID, Bank / Post Office Passbook and employment certificate in case of Healthcare and frontline workers can be submitted.

Only one document is essential provided that it contains proof of identity. Those who register online will bw required to produce the identification document that they submitted online.
