Punjab, Himachal Pradesh, among other states reopen schools from today with COVID-19 protocols in place
Various state governments have issued COVID-19 guidelines for the reopening of schools in a phased manner as the country witnesses decline in COVID-19 infections.
Uttarakhand
The State Government decided to reopen schools for Classes 9 to 12 from Monday. "All schools have been asked to strictly follow COVID-19 protocols and classes will function in two shifts where the number of students is higher," State's Education Minister Arvind Pandey informed.

Punjab
As per an order issued by the state government, emphasis will be strictly on adherence to COVID-19 protocols and COVID appropriate behavior inside the school premises.Wearing face masks and maintaining social distancing will remain mandatory.

Chhattisgarh
The Chhattisgarh government has permitted government-run and private schools to reopen for classes 10 and 12 from today with 50 percent attendance. The state government also added that the schools will only be allowed to reopen in the districts where the positivity rate is less or equal to 1 percent for the last seven days.

Himachal Pradesh
The Himachal Pradesh government has allowed the reopening of schools for Classes 10- 12 from today. Additionally, the government has reiterated its instructions about strict adherence to the COVID-19 norms during the school hours.
