Uttarakhand disaster: 36 bodies recovered till now, rescue operations continue for 4th day; in pics
The glacier burst in Uttarakhand's Chamoli district has left many in distress. NDRF and SDRF personnel teamed up with the Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) to mount rescue operations.
Over 168 people remain missing on the fourth day of rescue operations. Authorities said that out of 36 bodies discovered by the personnel only 10 bodies have been identified.

Air relief reaches Chamoli
Air relief reached the affected area in Chamoli, Uttarakhand. Army helicopters filled with basic amenities and medical aide reaches Chamoli.
Heavy machinery at tunnel near Joshimath
Operation resumes at tunnel in Joshimath, Chamoli dist after it was temporarily halted following a rise in water level of Rishiganga river. NDRF personnel say, "Water level is rising so teams were shifted to safer locations. Operation has resumed with limited teams."
Rescue operations continues inside tunnel where many feared trapped
Drilling operation towards the slush flushing tunnel was stopped later in the day after approximately 7 to 8 meters of drill. A hard rock obstructed the cutters to operate. The rescue teams are now removing the slush again as earlier from machines. Slush started to take semi solid shape. This is likely to help in removing slush with more speed.
