Uttarakhand tragedy: CM Trivendra Singh Rawat visits rescued persons at ITBP hospital - See pics
The glacier burst in Uttarakhand's Chamoli district has left many in distress. Indian military personnel teamed up with the Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) to mount rescue operations. Chief Minister Trivendra Singh Rawat visited the 12 people that have been rescued. Take a look at how the ITBP has been carrying out the rescue operations:
The Chief Minister of Uttarakhand visited the ITBP hospital
The people rescued were taken to the 1st Battalion Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) Joshimath Hospital. Chief Minister Trivendra Singh Rawat paid a visit to the 12 rescued persons admitted in this hospital.

The Chief Minister spoke to the patients and also arranged to give them a small gift to lift their spirits.

Ariel relief was also provided in Chamoli
Mi-17 and ALH helicopters flying from Dehradun to Joshimath with disaster relief teams on board were part of the rescue operations carried out.
