1. Vaccination

2. Carry your snacks for the jouney

Railways do not provide food for animals even if a separate ticket is booked for your pet friend. Although carrying large quanitites of such food-itmes must be avoided because your furry companions would be confined to a small space for a long period of time without much exercise which can lead to indigestion.

3. Essentials

Make sure to carry a muzzle (only if needed and it is comfortable wearing one), collar, leash, disposable bags, pet pads, bowls, blankets, soap, antiseptic liquid, and room freshener.

For older pets, you can ask the veterinarian for sedatives to be prescribed so they can sleep for the most of the journey.

Before making long train trips, train your pet by taking it along for short trips via trian. Find the longest rest stop along on a long journey that will allow you to walk your animal on the platform to also avoid any doo-doo accidents.
