Zainab Abbas, born on February 14, 1988, in Lahore, Pakistan, is a prominent Pakistani television host, sports presenter, commentator, and former makeup artist.

Zainab hails from a family deeply connected to both cricket and politics. Her father, Nasir Abbas, was a domestic cricketer, while her mother, Andleeb Abbas, is a senior member of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf party.  

After completing her education at Aston University and earning an MBA in Marketing and Strategy from the University of Warwick, Zainab spent two years working for Dolce & Gabbana at Harrods.  

Zainab's career took an unexpected turn when she auditioned to appear as a guest on Dunya News during the 2015 Cricket World Cup. This marked the beginning of her journey in sports presenting.  

Zainab's credibility in the field grew as she appeared as a guest on BBC's Test Match Special during Pakistan's 2016 tour of England, gaining recognition on an international platform.  

She secured a full-time contract to present her own show, "Cricket Dewangi," on Dunya News from 2016 to 2018, where she showcased her passion for the sport.  

Zainab broke barriers as the first woman sports reporter and commentator to cover the ICC 2019 World Cup from Pakistan, setting a new standard for women in sports journalism.  

Zainab continued to excel, becoming one of the presenters for the Pakistan Super League from 2016 onwards, cementing her position in the cricketing world.  

In July 2021, Zainab made her debut on Sky Sports as part of the broadcasting team for the inaugural season of The Hundred, becoming the first Pakistani female presenter to achieve this milestone.
