"What an incredible feeling," Royal Challengers Bangalore opener Devdutt Padikkal wrote on his Instagram story after earning the maiden call-up. 

A month ago, when the squad was yet to be announced, Nitish Rana was confident that he would be rewarded for his brilliant show in white-ball cricket in the past few years.

"It is there at the back of my mind that my name should come (in the squad) and I am prepared for that because I feel my name would come."

"If you pick and see my record for the last three years in white-ball, be it domestic or the IPL, I have performed well and I feel that I will get the reward for it today or tomorrow."

"And I feel I am ready for international cricket and I am waiting for that like they say one call away…I am waiting for that call…," the 27-year-old left-handed batsman had told PTI. 

"You live a dream for years and now it has come true and you can't be more happier," was Krishnappa Gowtham's first reaction when PTI caught up with him. 

"I wish my father had been here to see this. He wanted me to play for India. I miss him a lot today. God has made me see ups and downs in a span of one year. It has been a very emotional ride so far," Chetan Sakariya told The Indian Express.
