IPL 2020: Complete schedule of all eight franchises-In pics

Chennai Super Kings (CSK) will kickstart their campaign in the 2020 edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) against Mumbai Indians on March 29 at the Wankhede Stadium. Interestingly, the opening match of the tournament will be the repeat of last year's final clash as three-time winner Chennai take on defending champions Mumbai.

The CSK will play a total of 14 league games, with their last clash taking place against Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) on May 14. The Chennai-based franchise made an incredible return following a two-year suspension as wicketkeeper-batsman Mahindra Singh Dhoni guided the side to glory in the 2018 edition of the IPL.

 

 

Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB), who are yet to clinch a title at the IPL, will look to begin their campaign at the upcoming 13th edition of the lucrative tournament on a winning note when they take on two-time champions Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium on March 31. 

RCB will play their last league game against defending champions Mumbai Indians on May 17. The Virat Kohli-led side had made a last-place finish during the 2017 and 2019 edition of the T20 lucrative tournament while their last appearance in the final came in 2016.

Rajasthan Royals will look to kickstart their campaign at the 2020 IPL on a promising note when they lock horns with Chennai Super Kings in their opening match of this year's T20 tournament at M. A. Chidambaram Stadium on April 2.  

Defending champions Mumbai Indians will play the curtain-raiser of the 2020 IPL against Chennai Super Kings (CSK) on March 29 at the Wankhede Stadium.The opening clash of the lucrative T20 league will be the repeat of last year's final clash when the three-time winner Chennai took on ultimate winners Mumbai. 

 

Kolkata Knight Riders, who have lifted the title at the IPL on two occasions, will look to begin their campaign at the 2020 edition of the tournament on a winning note when they lock horns with Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) in their opener at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium on March 31. 

 

Sunrisers Hyderabad, who won the 2016 edition of the IPL besides making it to the playoffs five times, will square off with defending champions Mumbai Indians in their opening match of the 2020 edition of the T20 league at the Rajiv Gandhi International Cricket Stadium on April 1.

Kings XI Punjab will square off with Shreyas Iyer-led Delhi Capitals in their opening match of the 2020 edition of the IPL at Feroz Shah Kotla Stadium on March 30. The KL Rahul-led side is one of the only three teams--the others being Delhi Capitals and RCB-- who is yet to lift the title at the lucrative tournament. 

 

Delhi Capitals, who are yet to clinch a title at the IPL, will kickstart their campaign at the 2020 edition of the T20 lucrative tournament against Kings XI Punjab at the Feroz Shah Kotla Stadium on March 30. The Shreyas Iyer-led side is slated to play a total of 14 league games in the 2020 IPL, with the franchise's last league clash also be taking place against Punjab on May 16.
