Sri Lanka and West Indies--who have been knocked out from the contention of making it to the semi-finals of the 2019 International Cricket Council (ICC) World Cup--will play for pride when they take on each othet at the Riverside Ground in Chester le Street on Monday. The Dimuth Karunaratne-led side is currently standing at the seventh spot in the World Cup 2019 points table with just two wins from seven matches. The Caribbean side, on the other hand, is placed at the penultimate spot just above Afghanistan on the points table with just one win from seven matches.

Kusal Perera (51) brought up his third half-century of the 2019 World Cup off 38 balls. He achieved the feat with a single on the second delivery of the 14th over by Jason Holder.

Avishka Fernando and Kusal Mendis stitched a crucial partnership, adding 46 runs in as many balls to guide Sri Lanka past 150-run mark against the West Indies. 

Avishka Fernando brought up his first half-century of the 2019 World Cup off just 57 deliveries during the clash against West Indies.

Nicholas Pooran slammed his second fifty of the 2019 World Cup as well as of his career. he reached the mark with a six in the 33rd over against Sri Lanka.
