Sydney Sixers beat Perth Scorchers by 27 runs to lift third BBL trophy; see pics

James Vince emerged as the standout player from the occassion as his 60-ball 95 helped Sixers post a challenging 188/6 in 20 overs. In response, the Scorchers got off to a brisk start but could only manage 161/9 in the end, thus losing the contest by 27 runs.

Perth Scorchers skipper Ashton Turner won the toss and elected to field first. The Scorchers started off well as they removed Sixers opener Josh Phillipe on 9. But it was James Vince, who dictated the proceedings of the event and took the game from Scorchers hands. (Twitter)

In response to Sixers' 188/6, the pair of Cameron Bancroft and Liam Livingstone got Scorchers off to a good start. Bancroft was dismissed inside the powerplay overs, but Livingstone made sure his side remains in the hunt and went on to score 45 from 35 deliveries.
