Former India southpaw Suresh Raina was retained by Chennai Super Kings on IPL 2021 Player Retention Day this week. With Raina confirmed to play in IPL 2021 later this year, he is all set to join Rs 100 crore salary club which features three other Indian cricketers.

Chennai Super Kings skipper MS Dhoni is the highest earning player in the Indian Premier League. Dhoni announced his retirement from international cricket last year but will continue to lead CSK in IPL in 2021 at least. Dhoni till 2020 had compiled a salary of over Rs 137 crore.

As per a report in InsideSport Moneyball, along with the new contract that fetches Raina Rs 11 crore for participation in the 14th edition of the league, the former India international has breached the INR 100 crore mark in earnings as an IPL player. He becomes only the fourth Indian batsman to get into triple-digits after CSK skipper MS Dhoni, Royal Challengers Bangalore captain Virat Kohli and Mumbai Indians captain Rohit Sharma.
