Indian hockey captain Manpreet Singh is married to a Malaysian, here's their love story - IN PICS

Manpreet is married to Illi Saddique. She originally belongs to Malaysia. Indian captain met her in 2012 when he visited Malaysia as part of Indian hockey team for a tournament. (Source: Instagram). 

Illi was working in a university in Malaysia. Now she has shifted base to Punjab. Her parents belong to Pakistan. (Source: Instagram). 

Manpreet and Illi got engaged in 2014 only but their marriage took a long time. The courtship lasted as long as six years. The couple got married in Jalandhar on December 16, 2020. (Source: Instagram). 

The couple were blessed with a baby girl in November. Manpreet had posted a photo earlier before leaving for the national camp, saying he was not ready to leave his newly-born baby for hockey duty. (Source: Instagram)
