IN PICS: Ten biggest sixes recorded in history of IPL

Surprised, right? But you read it right. Praveen Kumar, who used to open for UP at times in domestic cricket, used  the long handle well and smashed a 124m six once. 

Adam Gilchrist is third on the list in the biggest sixes of IPL. He has to his name a 122m six. 

Robin Uthappa, who has changed many teams in IPL, is a massive six hitter as well. He gets in line with the ball quickly and has strong forearms which fetch him long sixes. When he connects, it does go a long way. He once smashed a massive 120m six.  

The fifth position in this list is shared by three cricketers  - Yuvraj Singh, Chris Gayle and Ross Taylor. Yiuvraj hit a 119m once.  

Chris Gayle is an IPL legend. He has recorded the highest individual score in IPL as well when he smashed an unbeaten 175 vs Pune Warriors. Gayle's longest six if also 119m.  

We do not see Ross Taylor in any role in IPL but back in the day he used to set the stadium on fire with his slog sweeps. He has also hit a 119m six. 

Ben Cutting is an able all-rounder who has done well for Mumbai Indians and Sunrisers Hyderabad in the past. He can bowl some overs in the middle and is a power-hitter. He smashed a 117m six once and shared the honours of hitting the same distance with two other cricketers.

The second cricketer to have hit a 117m six is Gautam Gambhir. He may look small and not as massive as a Gayle or Yuvraj, but he possessed power plus had timing at his disposal. 

Liam Livingstone, playing for Punjab Kings in IPL 2022, is the latest to join the elite list. Livingstone smashed a 117m six vs RR.
