India were reeling at 191-6 when Nitish Kumar Reddy came to bat at the MCG. Nitish produced an impressive and memorable knock (unbeaten 105 off 176 balls) under pressure to keep India alive in the Boxing Day Test against Australia. 

 

Nitish Kumar Reddy’s maiden Test century at the MCG brought his father Mutyala Reddy to tears. Reddy’s  father celebrated his son's special milestone with the family members in the stands. 

 

Nitish Kumar Reddy celebrated his special Test innings in style, doing the iconic 'Pushpa' move on Day 3 of the Boxing Day Test against Australia. After completing his half-century with a boundary, Nitish pulled out Allu Arjun's ‘Pushpa Raj’ move to celebrate the feat.

When Nitish Kumar Reddy reached his maiden Test century, he struck the famous 'Baahubali 'pose for celebration at the Melbourne Cricket Ground 

 

Nitish Kumar Reddy joined his idol Virat Kohli in an elite list of Indian batters after his maiden Test century. 

Nitish became the fifth batter after Virender Sehwag, Virat Kohli, Ajinkya Rahane, Cheteshwar Pujara to score a century for India against Australia in the Boxing Day Test at the MCG.  

Nitish Kumar Reddy has also broken Virender Sehwag's record of hitting most sixes by an Indian in a single Test series in Australia. Sehwag hit six sixes during the 2003-04 tour of Australia while Reddy has already smashed seven during this tour, 

 

Nitish Reddy has jumped to the fourth position in the list of Indian players to hit the most sixes in Australia in the game's longest format.

Rishabh Pant and Rohit Sharma are on top with 10 sixes so far, followed by Virender Sehwag and Nitish Kumar Reddy with 8 and 7 sixes respectively.

 

Nitish Kumar Reddy has become the second youngest Indian batter (21 years and 214 days) after Ajay Ratra (20 years, 148 days) to score hundred at No. 8 Or Lower In Test cricket.
