Rafael Nadal clinches record-extending 13th French Open title, ties Roger Federer's Grand Slam record: In Pics

Spainish tennis maestro Rafael Nadal scripted history on Sunday as he swept aside world number one Novak Djokovic in straight sets in the final of the 2020 French Open to lift a record-extending 13th trophy at the Roland Garros. 

 

The 34-year-old blew away his long time Serbian rival Djokovic in two hours and 41 minutes to clinch a 6-0, 6-2, 7-5 triumph in the summit showdown of the men's singles event of this year's French Open.

Spaniard Rafa Nadal raises his arms triumphant after catching up to Federer's unprecedented Grand Slam record of 20 with a win in the final of the French Open 2020. The second-ranked tennis star will now be the front-runner to go ahead of Federer, who had decided to skip the 2020 season following a knee surgery.
