Yash Dhull is a right-handed batter who was born on November 11 in 2002. He resides in the Janakpuri area of New Delhi. Yash dons jersey number 22 for the India U-19 side.

Yash Dhull’s family made many sacrifices to make sure that he grows in cricket and one day makes the whole country proud. It was Dhull’s mother who saw the spark in young Yash and enrolled him in an academy. When he was just 6 years old, his mother took him to Bal Bhawan Cricket Academy. He was supported by his entire family to pursue his passion, his grandfather used to take him to train and wait outside till he finishes.

Also, Yash’s father revealed that he worked as an executive with a cosmetic brand and he had to give it up to support his ward’s cricket. He made sure that Yash got the best kit and gear from his early days.

Speaking to Times Now Yash’s father said: “I had to ensure he got the best kit and gear to play from an early age. I gave him the best of English willow bats. He didn’t have just one bat, I kept upgrading them. We had cut down on our expenses. My father was an army man. The pension that he received was used to run the household. Yash would always wonder how we were managing it.”

Dhull has a good amount of captaincy experience in his bag as he had led Delhi’s U-16, U-19, and India ‘A’ U-19 teams in past. Also, he was named the captain of the team for the 2021 ACC U-19 Asia Cup, and later he was given charge of the India U-19 team for the ongoing World Cup.

With the century against Australia, Dhull became the third Indian captain to hit a hundred in the tournament history after the illustrious Virat Kohli (2008) and the prodigious Unmukt Chand (2012), who also hail from Delhi.

Dhull has been in sensational form lately as before going into the ICC U19 World Cup, the right-handed batter smashed 302 runs for the DDCA in just 5 games at a tremendous average of 75.50 in the 2021-22 Vinoo Mankad Trophy. Also, he continued his superb form in the World Cup having smashed three fifties and a century in the five matches that he has played so far.
