Minimum temperature hovers below normal in Punjab and Haryana
Adampur in Punjab reeled under biting cold at 5.2 degrees Celsius as minimum temperature hovered a few notches below normal at most places in the state and neighbouring Haryana today.

While Adampur's minimum settled four notches below normal, Amritsar and Ludhiana recorded identical below normal minimum temperature at 7.8 degrees Celsius each.
Patiala recorded a low of 9.5 degrees Celsius, a Met Department official said here.
Pathankot (8.7 C), Halwara (7.5 C), Bathinda (6.4 C) also recorded below normal minimum temperature on Thursday.
However, Chandigarh's low settled at 10.9 degrees Celsius, two notches above normal.
In Haryana, Hisar was the coldest place at 7 degrees Celsius, which was four notches below normal.
Karnal recorded a low of 7.5 degrees Celsius, two notches below normal while Ambala's minimum settled within the normal limits at 11.5 degrees Celsius.
