Punjab saw rapid development in SAD-BJP rule; AAP, Cong enemies of state: Sukhbir Singh Badal
Deputy Chief Minister Sukhbir Singh Badal on Wednesday said the state has witnessed rapid development during SAD-BJP alliance and asked the people to give a befitting reply to Aam Aadmi Party and Congress, terming the two parties as `enemies of Punjab`.

Badal was inaugurating Ropar-Phagwara Road from here, the ancestral village of Bhagat Singh.
Addressing a rally on the occasion, the Deputy Chief Minister said that the SAD-BJP alliance would contest the Assembly polls on the plank of development and will achieve a hattrick of victories.
He said that Punjab has witnessed rapid development in all sectors including power, roads and infrastructure in the past 10 years.
He also announced that if the party comes to power in 2017 polls "all the villages of the state will be developed along the line of urban pattern" with concretised streets and drains, apart from equipping them with solar lights, surrounding roads among others.
He went on saying that various welfare centric schemes initiated by the SAD-BJP government has raised the standard of living of the people of Punjab.
Describing the welfare schemes initiated by the government, he said, there is power surplus in the state with excellent road network.
Further stating the achievements, he said - free health insurance scheme, free power worth 200 units to the SC-BC households, free atta-dal scheme, free medicine centres, free gas connections and free power to the farmers are the "shining achievements" of the government.
