3rd Test, Day 3: Kagiso Rabada further enhances reputation with maiden five-for
The right-armer conceded 78 runs at an economy rate of 3.36 during his 24-over spell.
New Delhi: South Africa's pace sensation Kagiso Rabada on Saturday further enhanced his reputation with a maiden five-for on Day 3 of the third Test against England.
Rabada bowled a stupendous spell at the New Wanderers Stadium, Johannesburg during the 1st session of the day to give Proteas a 10-run lead.
The 20-year-old bagged three wickets (Root, Bairstow and Broad) in the morning to add to the two (Cook and Compton) he picked up on Day 2.
The right-armer conceded 78 runs at an economy rate of 3.36 during his 24-over spell.
Rabada had a wonderful 2015 with a strong show in Bangladesh and India during the ODIs.
However, he failed to make a mark in the recently concluded Test series against India. In three Tests, Rabada picked up only 2 wickets against Virat Kohli's side.
But the youngster was back among the wickets with 4 victims in the Cape Town Test against England.
This latest performance is bound to give him a lot of confidence going forward.
Rabada is one of the most promising players to have burst onto the world cricket scene of late and with more consistent performances he could easily go on to become one of the most successful bowlers in the history of South African cricket.
