Speaking to CNN News18, Tendulkar, who is currently in London, said that having played cricket for around 20 years with Kumble, he is aware of the way he used to prepare ahead of a match and it will reflect in Indian team's performances as well.

Tendulkar was a part of the high-profile three-member Cricket Advisory Committee (CAC), also comprising Sourav Ganguly and VVS Laxman, who were bowled over by Kumble's detailed presentation during the coach's interview.

Tendulkar also said that he is like an elder brother to most members of the Indian cricket team, who call him often for advice and suggestions.
