After the murder of two CMOs of the family welfare department, Vinod Arya in October 2010 and B P Singh in April 2011, the Deputy CMO Y S Sachan was found dead under mysterious circumstances in the district jail in June this year. Initially, the investigations were done by the local police but later on July 14 on a PIL, the High Court had transferred further investigations of the case to the CBI and directed it to complete the probe in three month`s time which is coming to an end on October 14.

Meanwhile, the CBI moved another application before the lower court requesting that documents relating to police investigation in the murder of the two CMOs should not be provided to the accused until its ongoing investigations in this case are not completed. Special Judicial Magistrate Kamesh Shukla has fixed October 25 as the next date of hearing on this application.
