Rains lash Punjab, Haryana
Intermittent rainfall occurred in Amritsar where the minimum temperature settled at 6.8 degree Celsius, up four notches from yesterday.
Chandigarh: Heavy rains on Saturday lashed several parts of Punjab and Haryana even as there was a significant increase in the minimum temperature in the region, MeT officials said.

Ludhiana and Patiala, which also received heavy downpours, recorded 11.2 deg C, up by five points, and 10.8 deg C, up five notches, respectively.
Elsewhere, Mukerian received 76.4 mm rainfall, Madhopur (60 mm) and Shahpur Kandi (45.4 mm), the MeT officials said. Cold winds accompanied by heavy downpour made people in Chandigarh shiver.
In Haryana, rains lash Ambala which recorded minimum 10.8 deg C, up five notches.
Hisar also witnessed an increase in its minimum temperature, recording a low of 12.9 deg C, up by 8 degrees.
Panchkula, Kurukshetra, Ambala and Kalka were among other places in Haryana to receive rains.
