Despite India`s absence, Sourav Gagnguly promises full house for World T20 final
West Indies will take on England -- both former champions -- in a bid to win the marquee tournament, and become the first team to win it twice.
New Delhi: Despite India's absence, the final match of 2016 ICC World Twenty20 is expected to be a full house at Kolkata's historic Eden Gardens.
Former India captain and Cricket Association of Bengal (CAB) president Sourav Ganguly on Saturday said, "Not a ticket left. The stadium will be packed to capacity."
West Indies will take on England -- both former champions -- in a bid to win the marquee tournament, and become the first team to win it twice.
The Windies defeated the favourites India, thanks to power hitting, to set up their date with England.
England also out-batted New Zealand to make the final. And the final may well become a batting war.
However, Ganguly has no favourites.
"I don't believe in favourites but West Indies look a very strong team," he added.
