New Delhi: Pakistan coach Waqar Younis on Friday said the coach must have a say in team selection.

According to the former pacer, if the coach will get all criticism in the end then he must be allowed to be part of the selection panel that picks the team.


"I've always said this. It's not only today. I feel the coach should have a say in the selection committee. If he's going to get all the criticism, then the 15 that gets selected, he should be a part of that. If you're given the fifteen and if they don't fit in then its a problem," he was quoted as saying by CricBuzz.


Pakistan were knocked out of the Asia Cup by Bangladesh.


The team management is expected to make some changes to the squad for the upcoming ICC World Twenty20 in India.
