Virat Kohli`s unbeaten 55 helped India beat Pakistan once again.

India won the match by 6 wickets. As usual, MS Dhoni got the winning runs after Virat Kohli set up the chase with a perfect 50. With the win, India are also back in the tournament.

Virat Kolhi, who missed out on a fifty against Pakistan at the Asia Cup, achieved the feat today. He took 34 deliveries, and hit six fours and a six.
Shahid Afridi's over leaked seven run as Kohli continued to dominate. India need another 13 runs.

Despite the fall of wicket, Virat Kohli continued playing his usual game. Started the over with a four. Sublime cover drive. Shahid Afridi then conceded three more singles to make it a seven run over.

Then, Yuvraj Singh joined the hunt with a huge six of the very first ball of the over. It was followed by four singles, then the left-handed batsman batsman mistimed his pull shot to find Mohammad Sami. Credit to Wahab Riaz for keeping it simple.

After a dot ball, Kohli grilled a four through the mid-wicket coming down to the pitch of the delivery.
The over started with 2 wides, which was followed by two singles.
14 runs from the over. Shoaib Malik was clueless.

Shahid Afridi finally introduced Wahab Riaz. Virat Kohli welcomed the left-arm paceman with an impoverished pull shot, which would have resulted to a 2 at max. But an ill-timed dive from Sharjeel Khan at deep mid-wicket dragged the ball into the ropes. Four runs.
Riaz however done well to concede six runs from the over.
India need another 59 runs from 48 balls.

Bowling change for Pakistan. Shahid Afridi introduced ever effective Shoiab Malik into the attack.
The off-break bowler started conceding a single, but he managed to get a thick edge of Yuvraj Singh. A slip fielder would have completed an easy catch.
Brilliant running between the Indian batsmen and the over yielded eight runs.

As usual Shahid Afridi completed a super fast over. He conceded six runs, all singles. And it showed how both Virat Kohli and Yuvraj Singh have applied themselves to the situation.
India need another 73 runs from 10 overs.

Virat Kohli is pure class. Even with the ball moving in such pace, got enough time played a delicate cover drive for his first four.
That's how he treated Mohammad Sami, who rattled India moments ago.
It was followed by a single, then Yuvraj Singh played a glorious cover drive. But the left-handed batsman almost gave his wicket away with a mistimed pull shot, which landed in no-man's land. A single for all his efforts.

What an over from Mohammad Sami. He clean bowled both Shikhar Dhawan and Suresh Raina of successive deliveries, but missed out on hat-trick as Yuvraj Singh blocked his fifth delivery.

Mohammad Amir's brilliant over was backed up by Irfan with a two-run over. Virat Kohli started with a single, but Shikhar Dhawan took four deliveries to take another run. Virat then blocked the last ball.

That man Mohammad Amir again! He removed Rohit Sharma. The Indian opener, certainly buoyed by the productive previous over, tried to loft again. The skier took some catching, with Shoiab Malik completing it at cover.

Expecting it to swing, and a pitch-up delivery almost got Rohit Sharma undone of the first ball. That's how Mohammad Amir started his spell. In a bid to deceive the batsman, Amir committed himself too much, and a wide.
Then, Rohit got his first run with a single, playing from the back-foot, towards fine-leg. No, it was leg bye.
After some delay, adjusting the side-screens and glitters coming from numerous mobile phone flashes, play resumed with Shikhar Dhawan with a single.
India, to have a realistic chance of qualifying for the semi-finals, need to win today.

Good final over from Jasprit Bumrah. It started with a single to Mohammad Hafeez, Sarfraz Ahmed responded with a another single. Hafeez took a 2, followed by a single and a leg-bye.
The innings ended with another leg-bye. Seven runs from the over.

First Free-hit of the match. After a giving away a single of the first ball, Jasprit Bumrah over-stepped in his second ball.
Shoiab Malik however failed to capitalise on it with Bumrah producing a widish delivery. A single. Relief for the bowler.
After a single, Malik hit two back-to-back fours on either side of the wicket.

Then out of nowhere, Hardik Pandya managed to extract tennis ball like bouncer. Umpire consulted. No no-ball. The previous two deliveries resulted in two singles.
Shoaib Malik, who was subjected to the bouncer, replied with a huge six, into the stands, over the deep mid-wicket.
A single followed, then Umar Akmal got into the act, hitting a flat six over long-on boundary

Ashish Nehra returned to the attack and conceded only two runs. The over also witnessed Rohit Sharma producing an exemplarily fielding, stopping a scorching cover drive by Umar Akmal at cover. That was in the second ball of the over.

Umar Akmal got his first boundary, a controlled pull shot. Then, after a single and dot ball, Shahid Afridi launch himself, only to find Virat Kohli taking a good catch at deep.

Jasprit Bumrah got the better of Ahmed Shehzad. The Pakistan opener hit the first ball of the over for a four, but the very next delivery, a slower delivery meant Shehzad's stroke making resulted into an easy catch at point.

It's a great start for Pakistan. Not to lose a wicket, and sneaking boundaries in between the overs. This pitch is unplayable.
Six runs from Ravindra Jadeja's first over, including a four of the fourth ball. Ahmed Shehzad played a delicate cut shot, which raced away.

R Ashwin completed his third over. Four singles even from the over as the Eden Gardens pitch continued to exhibit it's devilish side. The ball is turning, turning.

First bowling change from MS Dhoni. Jasprit Bumrah on for Ashish Nehra. And the young bowler soon got into the act, forcing Sharjeel Khan to play shots.

Pace of the game increased a bit. R Ashwin started his second over conceding a single. After a single in the third ball, Ahmed Shehzad played a brave lofted shot over the mid-on for his first boundary.

Indian camp will be happy with the start. Pakistan will also not be disappointed with their own start.

Then, MS Dhoni's weapon of choice Ravichandran Ashwin on attack. And soon, the spinner has already managed to put a doubt in the mind of Sharjeel Khan with ball turning move ways.
Single of the penultimate delivery. And, two runs from the over, with the last ball resulting in a bye from an awkward bounce.

Veteran of many a high-profile clashes, Ashish Nehra started the proceedings, and first run on the board with Sharjeel Khan playing a pull shot for a single.
By the look of initial play, Sharjeel is going to be the enforcer. The left-handed batsman played a crunching drive but Ravindra Jadeja fielded well. That was in the third ball.
The over ended with a testing slower delivery, which was almost played back at the bowler. The over went for three runs.

Toss & Team News: Mahendra Singh Dhoni wins the toss, and opted to bowl first. He said, wicket was under the covers for some time and expects new ball bowlers to pick up early wickets. India are playing the same XI which played against New Zealand; Pakistan has brought in Mohammad Sami for spinner Imad Wasim.
Under the revised playing condition, the Powerplay will be of five-overs, and four bowlers can bowl a maximum of four overs each.

Latest update is, there will be no play until 8:00 PM IST. Reports say outfield is still slippery. However, umpires will have inspection anytime soon to access the condition. The scheduled start of the game was 7:30 PM IST.
In between, Pakistan women's team has defeated India, via Duckworth and Lewis. Pakistan were 77/6 when play stopped, in reply to India's 96/7 at Delhi.
