Over 19.4 || Score 123/7 (Brathwaite 10; Ramdin 1); Target 123

Carlos Brathwaite, after missing the fist ball, hit a huge six over mid-wicket. That probably settled the issue.

A wide followed and a run. Then, Hashim Amla almost pulled off a stunning catch at gully, but the ball trickled down the boundary. One run from it, as the win was completed before the ball hit the rope.

West Indies, thus, won the match by three wickets with two balls remaining.

Over 19 || Score 114/7 (Brathwaite 3; Ramdin 0); Target 123

Chris Morris is pissed off. Two boundaries of his bowling, in the penultimate over, through the third man area. Both thick edges, of Marlon Samuels' bat, of the first and fourth deliveries.

Then, Morris laughed. Wicket of Samuels.

WICKET: Marlon Samuels c AB de Villiers b Chris Morris 44 (44b)

11 runs and a wicket. West Indies need nine in last over. Denesh Ramdin is the new man.

Over 18 || Score 103/6 (Samuels 35; Brathwaite 1); Target 123

Now, the momentum is with the fielding side. Three runs from David Wiese's last over. His bowling figures: 4-0-19-1. Brilliant.

West Indies need 20 more runs from 12 balls. Game on.

Over 17 || Score 100/6 (Samuels 33; Brathwaite 0); Target 123

What a turn of events. Class all written over Imran Tahir's spell.

A caught and bowl chance for Imran Tahir. The spinner went to his left in the follow-up, but his effort was not enough. Dropped Marlon Samuels.

But, after two balls, removed Andre Russell. Good catch at deep mid-wicket by David Miller.

WICKET: Andre Russell c David Miller b Imran Tahir 4 (8b)

It was followed by another wicket. Bat and pad, then crashing into the stumps. Windies skipper Darren Sammy gone without scoring.

WICKET: Darren Sammy b Imran Tahir 0 (1b)

One run and two wickets. West Indies now need 23 from 18 balls. Carlos Brathwaite is the new man.

Before the start of the 17th over, the umpires have changed the ball. In between Dale Steyn was in the middle, bringing drinks for the team. He certainly had some words of encouragement for his mates. Proteas now need inspiration from every known corners.

And groundstaff also engaged themselves in removing the dew, mopping the field with rope.

Over 16 || Score 99/4 (Samuels 32; Russell 4); Target 123

A good over for West Indies. Just when the pressure was building on them, Marlon Samuels produced a flat-batted four. That happened in the third ball of the over.

Chris Morris conceded eight runs from the over. And he's been poor today. West Indies need 24 runs from 24 deliveries.

Over 15 || Score 91/4 (Samuels 26; Russell 2); Target 123

A tidy over from Imran Tahir. Four singles. But South Africa will need much more than that.

Now West Indies need 32 runs from 30 balls.

Over 14 || Score 87/4 (Samuels 24; Russell 0); Target 123

Aaron Phangiso has done it for South Africa. Provided the vital break-through. He removed dangerous Dwayne Bravo in the last ball of the over.

WICKET: Dwayne Bravo c David Wiese b Aaron Phangiso 8 (6b)

Three runs and a wicket. Just the perfect over the Proteas needed to make a comeback in the match.

Andre Russell is the new man. And West Indies need 36 off 36 deliveries.

Over 13 || Score 84/3 (Samuels 23; Bravo 7); Target 123

The arrival of Dwayne Bravo seemed to have done the trick for West Indies. The all-rounder started the over with a four, flicking over short fine-leg. Then a wide and a single followed.

Marlon Samuels then hit back-to-back fours of the third and fourth deliveries. Two dots to end the over. But 14 runs have already came from Kagiso Rabada's third over.

West Indies now need 39 runs from 42 balls.

Over 12 || Score 70/3 (Samuels 15; Bravo 2); Target 123

Now, that's bad batting. After hitting a huge six in the previous over, Johnson Charles tried another one. But this one failed to take the flight, and ended up offering a catch at cover. Good catch from skipper Faf du Plessis.

WICKET: Johnson Charles c Faf du Plessis b David Wiese 32 (35b)

After a wicket of the first over, David Wiese completed the over calmly, conceding four runs. Good change of bowling from Faf.

Dwayne Bravo is the new man.

Over 11 || Score 66/2 (Charles 32; Samuels 13); Target 123

Brilliant batting from Johnson Charles. After taking singles and two's Charles picked out a bad delivery to break the shackles. He lofted a huge, over 100+ metre long shot over mid-off boundary.

Nine runs from the over.

Over 10 || Score 57/2 (Charles 24; Samuels 12); Target 123

Lots of running. Johnson Charles and Marlon Samuels seemed happy to take the singles. Four singles and a 2 to make it a six-run over.

Imran Tahir, thus, completed his two overs. So far he has conceded eight runs.

Over 9 || Score 51/2 (Charles 20; Samuels 10); Target 123

Busy over. Six singles of it with Aaron Phangiso just about keeping it safe for South Africa. He, along with Imran Tahir, will be South Africa's hopes today.

West Indies need 72 runs from 11 overs.

Over 8 || Score 45/2 (Charles 17; Samuels 7); Target 123

A bad delivery spoilt the all the good efforts in the previous five deliveries. David Wiese mixed up deliveries to keep the Windies batsman quiet, but he missed the line in the last ball. And Marlon Samuels gently guided the ball on his legs for a four.

Seven runs from the over. West Indies need 78 more runs from 12 overs.

Over 7 || Score 38/2 (Charles 16; Samuels 2); Target 123

What an over from Aaron Phangiso. Only one run from it.  Meanwhile, the two West Indies batsmen in the centre clearly showed lack of communication, hesitant to take singles.

West Indies need another 85 runs from 13 overs.

Over 6 || Score 37/2 (Charles 16; Samuels 1); Target 123

David Wiese on attack. Two runs to start the over, then a dot ball.

A mixed up in the middle between Johnson Charles and Andre Fletcher. Charles played to point, where Rilee Rossouw picked up and a direct hit on non-striker's end.

WICKET: Andre Fletcher run out 11(11b)

Five runs and a wicket from the over. Marlon Samuels is the new man.

Over 5 || Score 32/1 (Charles 12; Fletcher 10); Target 123

A brilliant over from Imran Tahir. Two singles. South Africa, without JP Duminy, will need slow bowlers to challenge the West Indies.

Windies now need 91 runs more from 15 overs.

Over 4 || Score 30/1 (Charles 12; Fletcher 10); Target 123

Chris Morris, then, conceded 11 runs from his second over. A dot to start the over, but Johnson Charles connected a half-volley on his legs for a four through mid-wicket. A dot ball, before Charles took a 2.

The over ended with a four, with Charles hitting through cover.

Over 3 || Score 19/1 (Charles 2; Fletcher 10); Target 123

Kagiso Rabada continued with same intensity. He even produced a well directed bouncer against tall Johnson Charles, only to find the leg umpire giving it a wide.

The over started with Andre Fletcher taking two runs, then a single. A dot ball, before that extra. Charles took a single of the fourth ball, then Fletcher hit the first six of the innings -- over the mid-wicket boundary.

11 runs from the over.

Over 2 || Score 8/1 (Charles 1; Fletcher 1); Target 123

West Indies have a fight at hand. Chasing 123 runs against this South African unit will not be easy, despite the absence of Dale Steyn.

Chris Morris just completed a good over. Three runs from it. Usual sight of electrifying fielding from the Proteas.

West Indies need 115 more runs from 18 overs.

Over 1 || Score 5/1 (Charles 0; Fletcher 0); Target 123

What a start from South Africa.

A hint of swing as Kagiso Rabada sent down a fast delivery to start their defence. Johnson Charles, opening with Chris Gayle, missed it. A leg bye opened the account for West Indies.

After three balls, the showman, the boss arrived to face the young South African bowler. Then, Gayle played the old-fashioned leg-glance, a four.

Then, Gayle is gone. Pitched-up. Bowled.

WICKET: Chris Gayle b Kagiso Rabada 4 (2b)

Andre Fletcher is the new man. Five runs and a wicket from the first over.

Except for Quinton de Kock and David Wiese, the famed-Proteas batting line-up collapsed without a clue against street-smart West Indies bowlers.

The Proteas innings witnessed eight fours and two sixes. That itself explained the poor outings they have in Nagpur today.

For West Indies, Dwayne Bravo and Chris Gayle were impressive, taking two wickets each. Andre Russell also got two scalps.

SOUTH AFRICA INNINGS

Over 20 || Score 122/8 (Morris 16)

Brilliant last over from Dwayne Bravo. Four runs from it, and a wicket -- run out of Aaron Phangiso.

The started with two runs, with Morris playing it through cover. Then a dot ball followed, before a single. Phangiso did well to give the strike back to Morris.

Then, Morris wasted the remaining deliveries. Morris' wild swing failed to connect the last ball, and he dashed off for a single. But Denesh Ramdin hit the target.

WICKET: Aaron Phangiso run out 4 (5b)

Over 18 || Score 114/7 (Morris 11; Phangiso 1)

10 runs from the over.

Over 16 || Score 98/5 (Wiese 23; Morris 1)

Quinton de Kock and David Wiese completed a fifty-run partnership to give South Africa a fighting chance.

WICKET: Quinton de Kock b Andre Russell 47 (46b)

That happened in the fourth ball of the over. Seven runs and a wicket. Chris Morris is the new man.

A 2 and single to end the over. Nine from it.

Over 10 || Score 57/5 (de Kock 31; Wiese 3)

When Darren Sammy opted to ball first, it looked like a good toss to be wasted. But West Indies have reduced the Proteas.

Seven runs from the over. Quinton de Kock just played an exquisite cover drive, of the last ball of the over.

David Wiese, after blocking the first ball of the over, took a single. de Kock played out a dot ball, then  a 2 before hitting that four.

Dwayne Bravo thus completed his second over.

Over 9 || Score 50/5 (de Kock 25; Wiese 2)

South Africa in deep trouble. Chris Gayle cleaned up David Miller. That happened in the second ball of the over, and Gayle didn't ever bother to celebrate. He just stood there, in a ponderous way, hands on face. Probably, that's his new style.

WICKET: David Miller b Chris Gayle 1 (4b)

David Wiese is the new man. Three singles and a wicket.

South Africa have scored 22 runs in the last five overs, losing two wickets.

Over 8 || Score 47/4 (de Kock 24; Miller 1)

Dwayne Bravo into the attack. He is the sixth bowler Darren Sammy has used so far for West Indies.

Bravo, the champion, then produced a brilliant slower delivery to get the prized wicket of de Villiers. The South African played on.

David Miller joined Quinto de Kock in the centre.  Three runs and a wicket. Big over for West Indies.

Over 7 || Score 44/3 (de Kock 23; de Villiers 9)

Another bowling change for West Indies. Tall left-arm spinner Sulieman Benn operated with  his varied deliveries from either sides of the wicket.

A dot to Ab de Villiers, then a 2. Good running. A single followed, which would have easily been a 2 considering South Africa's running between the wickets. But Quinton de Kock, with strapped thigh, asked AB to settle for a single.

Two dot balls, then a 2 to end the over. Five runs from it.

Over 6 || Score 39/3 (de Kock 21; de Villiers 6)

Then, Darren Sammy introduced Carlos Brathwaite. The medium pace bowler conceded only three runs, all singles, in the last three deliveries of the over.

Good start from the 27-year-old.

Over 5 || Score 36/3 (de Kock 20; de Villiers 4)

Another good over for South Africa with Quinton de Kock starting to open up a bit. After playing three deliveries for nothing, the left-handed batsman lofted one for his first six of the day. A dot ball followed, before running a two.

Eight runs from Samuel Badree's second over.

Over 4 || Score 28/3 (de Kock 12; de Villiers 4)

Eight runs from the over.

Over 3 || Score 20/3 (de Kock 9; de Villiers 0)

Faf du Plessis blocked the first three balls then played a lofted cover drive for the first six of the match. It was followed by a two. Then a wide.

Thus Andre Russel struck in the last ball of his first over. Nine runs and a wicket.

Over 1 || Score 4/1 (de Kock 2; du Plessis 1)

Spin on for West Indies. Samuel Badree to Hashim Amla and South Africa off with a single. And a fatal mixed-up between Amla and Quinton de Kock. de Kock played through the cover, then dashed for a single only to see Denesh Ramdin disturbing the wickets.
