Karachi: Former Pakistan skipper Imran Khan has refused to mentor Pakistan Super League (PSL) franchise, Peshawar Zalmi.

The legendary cricketer turned down the offer due to his busy scheduled.


A close aide of the cricketer-turned-politician said: "Imran Khan has turned down the request because of his busy schedule and commitments elsewhere and in politics," as per the report published in PTI.


The aide has also added that the news had been conveyed to the Peshawar franchise that Imran would not be able to work with them.


The PSL is a professional Twenty20 cricket league in Pakistan composed of five major cities - Islamabad, Karachi, Lahore, Quetta and Peshawar.


The inaugural edition of the tournament will commence on February 4, 2016.
