New Delhi: The Delhi & District Cricket Association (DDCA) on Monday wrote a letter to the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), requesting them to release funds for the fourth Test match between India and South Africa.
The letter indicates that the DDCA is quite confident of obtaining all the clearances from the Delhi government to host the final match of the four-match series.
The letter was forwarded by Association's treasurer, Ravindra Manchanda to BCCI secretary Anurag Thakur.
In the letter, DDCA very clearly mentioned, “We are confident of getting necessary permission from the Govt. of Delhi by this evening. In the view of above I would request you to release Rupees 10 crores through GTGS to meet the expenses for the forthcoming India vs South Africa Test match.”
Bank details were also mentioned in the letter, with a copy of the mail sent to BCCI president Shashank Manohar and treasurer Anirudh Chaudhary as well.
November 17 is the deadline given by the Indian board to DDCA for obtaining all clearances to host the final Test at Feroz Shah Kotla.
