New Delhi: Indian opener Shikhar Dhawan has been going through a poor patch with the willow. Barring one half century, in the last ODI against South Africa in Mumbai, 'Gabbar' of Indian cricket has struggled to score runs since the Proteas have landed for a lengthy series.

In his last eight innings, Dhawan only managed to accumulate 140 runs. The southpaw even failed to open his account on both the innings in the opening Test in Mohali.

On both occasions, South African seamer Vernon Philander got his wicket early. His feet are not moving and his confidence is looking all time low.

Though India have a crucial 1-0 lead in the four-match Test series, out-of-form Dhawan is an area of serious concern for Virat Kohli & Co.

After a string of poor performances, it would be interesting to watch whether the Indian think-tank gives him another chance to get his lost form back or he would pay a price for it.

2nd Test of the series is scheduled to be played at M Chinnaswamy Stadium, Bangalore between November 14 to 18.
