New Delhi: India came back to the game strongly against South Africa in the first Test match in Mohali on Friday. The Indian spinners excelled to dismiss the Proteas for 184 and ensured the hosts took a lead of 16 runs.

Ravichandran Ashwin picked up five wickets to hand a big blow to the visitors. Meanwhile, AB de Villiers top scored for the Proteas with 63 runs.


India then lost Shikhar Dhawan very early, but Murali Vijay and Cheteshwar Pujara built a very solid partnership to get India's lead surge ahead. At the end of the day Pujara and skipper Virat Kohli was on the crease with India's lead of 142 runs.
