From the forthcoming season, Dhoni will possibly lead the new IPL franchise, Pune, who have bought him as their first pick at a cost of Rs 12.5 crore for the ninth edition.

By becoming the first pick at Players' draft on Tuesday, Dhoni has proved that his brand value is still intact as far as the shortest version of the game is concerned.

The 35-year-old, who led (now) suspended Chennai Super Kings (CSK) for eight years since the inception of the cash-rich tournament, is certainly the most successful skipper of the League.

Under his captaincy, CSK have won two IPL titles in succession (2010 and 2011) and equal number of Champions League Twenty20 trophies as well. And on each occasion of the IPL, the franchise has managed reach the qualifying stages.

Now it would be interesting to see whether Dhoni's 'midas touch' remain intact in Pune or not.
