Kolkata didn't opt for many changes this time in the auctions which gives them an edge with a settled team at their disposal.

KKR got a big boost when the ICC cleared Sunil Narine's remodeled bowling action. Narine has been a star for the KKR side all these years. Although he would be missing the opening tie against Delhi Daredevils, KKR have plenty of mix in their spin department with some variety.

The presence of Brad Hogg is a big plus despite his age. Hogg is a seasoned campaigner in the T20 format and impressed during his stint with KKR last term. Hogg has immense experience and that will be rubbing off on young left-arm spinner Kuldeep Yadav.

Yadav will hope to get some opportunities this term and will be keen to impress the team management.

Also, the KKR bowling line-up boasts of another senior player - Piyush Chawla. The 2011 ICC World Cup winner has been one of the most successful bowlers in the IPL and has been a regular phenomenon for KKR. Chawla's leg-spin will add a lot of depth to the KKR spin unit.

Although Gambhir has some interesting players in the pace department as well, it will be the spinners that could play a solid role once again and help the team write another success story.
