Last week, the MCA and Maharashtra Cricket Association filed a joint Special Leave Petition (SLP) in the apex court to host IPL matches in the state as per the original schedule.

Earlier, the Bombay High Court ordered the BCCI to move IPL matches out of the drought-hit state post April 30 due to water crisis.

Mumbai Indians play their home games in at Mumbai's Wankhede Stadium, while MS Dhoni's Rising Pune Supergiants host their home games at Pune’s Maharashtra Cricket Association Stadium.

The SC was initially scheduled to hear MCA's plea on Monday.
