The appointment of Donald comes after Western Australia bowling coach Adam Griffith was announced as the bowling coach for the tour of the West Indies in June, which precedes the Sri Lankan tour. While expressing delight over his appointment, the South Africa`s fourth-leading wicket-taker revealed his ambitions of holding the job for longer, the Sydney Morning Herald reported.

Meanwhile, head coach Darren Lehmann believes that Donald, who had previously mentored the likes of Dale Steyn and Morne Morkel, would be able to bring in fresh perspective into the team in view of his considerable success in sub-continent conditions.

Also, former Australian batsman Stuart Law was confirmed as the interim batting coach for the tour.
