NCP, Congress lock horns over BMC elections
The ruling alliance in the state hit a rough patch on Thursday after the NCP indicated that it may go alone in the upcoming BMC polls if the Congress doesn`t heed to its views on seat divisions.

Mumbai: The ruling alliance in the state hit a rough patch on Thursday after the NCP indicated that it may go alone in the upcoming Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) polls if the Congress doesn’t heed to its views on seat divisions. After a meeting of party functionaries convened by supremo Sharad Pawar, senior leader Praful Patel said that demanded that the Congress must clear their stand clear on the alliance other NCP will contest the BMC elections alone. Patel along with the party chief had a 20-minute long meeting with Congress President Sonia Gandhi at her residence 10 Janpath last week.
