Rajkot: A doctor from Ranchi has been arrested on charges of appearing for Saurashtra University`s post-graduate medical entrance examination as a dummy candidate, police said here on Sunday.
Dr Mahesh Sinha was arrested yesterday after he was found to be writing the exam as a dummy candidate, they said.
Assistant Registrar of the university, Dhiren Pandya has lodged a complaint with the Gandhigram police. During the interrogation, the accused revealed that one Chirag Vadher was the real candidate, for whom, he had appeared for the exam. Sinha had agreed to write the examination as a dummy, as he was unable to pay the fees of his post graduate medical course. PTI
