Kathmandu: At least seven members of a single family have gone missing after a landslide swept away their hut in Hukam Village in Rukum district of western Nepal.

The landslide caused by incessant rain swept away the house in which they were sleeping last night, according to an official of the country`s Home Ministry.
Police and army personnel have been mobilised in the area, situated some 450 km west of Kathmandu, to carry out rescue works, the official said. Around 250 people have died due to landslide in different parts of the country this year during due to the heavy monsoon rain.
