Patiala: Punjab top-order batted superbly to end Day two at a comfortable 182 for two after bowling out Madhya Pradesh for 370 in their Ranji Trophy Group B match, here on Friday.

The visitors resumed at 251 for five and overnight batsmen -- Aditya Shrivastava (131) and Rameez Khan (66) added some more runs in their partnership before Punjab wrapped them up Dhruve Pandove Stadium.


The host openers Manan Vohra (32) and Jiwanjot Singh (66) were yest again in excellent touch as they provided a decent start even as they could not capitalise in good starts they made.


After Vohra was bowled by Jalaj Saxena, Uday Kaul (55 batting) kept the one end tight and raised a 106-run stand with Jiwanjot.


The partnership ended when Ankit Sharma trapped Jiwanjot.


In came Mandeep Singh (22 batting) and he ensured that Punjab do not lose another wicket before stumps.
