New Delhi: The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) on Sunday confirmed that Ravi Shastri's term as team director of the Indian cricket team has been extended till the ICC World T20, which is scheduled to take place in 2016.

The cricket board confirmed the news via their official Twitter account.



BCCI also extended the tenure of assistant coaches Sanjay Bangar, B Arun and R Sridhar till the World Cup next year.



However, in his last address to the media, board secretary Anurag Thakur had said that a coach would be appointed before the Proteas' visit on October 2.


But the appoint of a full-time coach is not likely ahead of the upcoming series.
