Lucknow: Large parts of Uttar Pradesh on Friday continued to reel under cold wave conditions with thick fog throwing normal life out of gear and claiming six lives.
Four people in Pratapgarh and two in Farrukhabad died in accidents following poor visibility due to heavy fog, officials said. According to MET office, cold wave conditions prevailed in west and east UP and temperature fell appreciably, specially in terai and eastern region. Muzaffarnagar remained the coldest place recording 2.3 degrees Celsius. PTI
