Islamabad: A terror bid was Wednesday foiled in the Pakistani capital with the arrest of six suspected terrorists including a suicide bomber, police said.

Bin Yameen, inspector general of the Criminal Investigation Department, said the militants were attempting a "big act" in the capital, the Online news agency reported. A huge cache of weapons and explosives were also recovered from their possession, he said.

The suicide bomber was identified as Waliullah, said Yameen, adding that all the arrested terrorists had been involved in attacks on security forces in Swat region in northwest Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province. IANS
