Sreesanth asked reporters to wait for a day, as the place will be revealed from where he will be contesting elections.

Sreesanth told ANI that, “Wait for a day,you will know from where I contest.”

Reports state that he will be contesting elections from Eranakulam.

Reports also said that party sources claim that BJP president Amit Shah had requested Sreesanth to contest in state assembly poll.

The leadership is likely to discuss this with state leaders on Wednesday.

Earlier, Sreesanth, who was charged for the sensational spot-fixing in the 2013 Indian Premier League season, was discharged by a Delhi court, along with cricketers Ajit Chandila and Ankeet Chavan.

There was no prima facie evidence to suggest that they had any nexus with the organised crime syndicate.

Despite the court's decision, BCCI held their decision of banning the cricketers for life.

The three cricketers, were banned for life from the game by BCCI immediately after the police action in the alleged scam three years ago.
