New Delhi: Legendary Indian cricketer Rahul Dravid paid rich tributes to Virender Sehwag, who retired from international cricket recently, saying that the flamboyant opener brought a lot of energy to the Indian dressing room.

In a video release by the BCCI, The Wall said, "It's been a privilege to have played international cricket with you. You bought so much joy and happiness to so many people with the way you played the game. Not only to the fans, but to all the people who shared the dressing room with you and had the privilege of playing with you, I think will agree that you brought a spark and an energy to cricket and to the dressing room that we will always cherish and remember."


Rahul Dravid has a special message for Virender Sehwag.

Sehwag was honoured by the BCCI before the start of play on Day 1 of the fourth and the final Test between India and South Africa at Feroz Shah Kotla.


Sehwag was present with his family on the occasion and was given a momento by BCCI secretary Anurag Thakur.
