Dhoni displaced Sachin Tendulkar as the highest earning Indian cricketer and now Kohli is on the verge of doing the same to Mahi.

According to a report in the Economic Times, India's Test skipper has invested in a plush property in Worli, Mumbai.

Virat's luxury pad in Omkar Realtors & Developers' residential project Omkar 1973 cost him Rs 34 crore.

The Delhi batsman's 7,171-sq-ft apartment is sea-facing and situated on 35th floor. Interestingly, his good friend Yuvraj Singh too owns a house on the 29th floor.

"While the talks for buying the apartment have been going on for the last few months, the transaction has been concluded recently. While the apartment will be bare-shell, it can be customized into a lavish five-bedroom house," a source told the newspaper.

In 2015, Virat and girlfriend Anushka Sharma visited the Omkar Worli's site office.

The 27-year-old however will have to wait for a couple of years before he was wake up to a view of the Arabian Sea.

The developer is expected to hand over the apartment to Virat in mid-2018.
