With the inclusion of Pawan Negi in the three-match T20I series against Sri Lanka, place of veteran spinner Harbhajan Singh for the big events came under a spot of bother.

Though the offie made a comeback in T20 squad, which toured Australia recently, he didn't get a place in MS Dhoni's playing XI in all three games.

With two spots for spinners already being booked by Ravichandran Ashwin and Ravindra Jadeja, there is a stiff fight for the third between Negi and Bhajji.

Promising Negi is yet to make his international debut, but his all-round skills were on display many a times in the past while playing for now suspended franchise Chennai Super Kings under Dhoni in the Indian Premier League.

Experience is still in favour of the 'Turbanator', but Dhoni, who is known for his on-field gambles, could prefer the 23-year-old youngster.

Now all the eyes are on the squads, which are to be announced by Sandeep Patil & Co on Friday.
