Punjab all-rounder Yuvraj Singh completes 8000 runs in first class cricket.
New Delhi: Yuvraj Singh on Wednesday completed 8000 runs in First Class cricket during Punjab's Ranji Trophy Group B match against Uttar Pradesh at Kanpur.
The 33-year-old southpaw, who recently got engaged to actress Hazel Keech, once again failed to make much impact with the bat for the Harbhajan Singh-led side, but, achieved the personal milestone.
The all-rounder could score only 24 runs in the second innings, and one of the two victims of Ankit Rajpoot. In the first innings, he made 16 runs.
In 198 First Class innings from 124 matches, Yuvraj has scored 8019 runs at an average of 44.55, including 24 hundreds and 34 fifties.
At stumps on Day 3, Punjab were 244/6 and have gained a lead of 290 runs. Suresh Raina-led Uttar Pradesh made 226 run in their first innings, in response to Punjab's 272.
