Faridabad: Floating a new party, former prime minister Jagjivan Ram`s grand-daughter Medhavi Kirti on Friday said it will field candidates in several states in the next general election.
"The Babu Jagjivan Ram Baba Saheb Ambedkar National Congress Party will work to fulfil the dreams of my grandfather," Kirti said at a press conference. She said the party was preparing to field candidates in Haryana, Bihar, Andhra Pradesh and Madhya Pradesh in the 2014 Lok Sabha elections.

Kirti, who had won from Jhajjar in 1987 and was a minister in Haryana government, said he had stayed away from politics all these years due to family problems. PTI
