New Delhi: Chennaiyin FC player Harmanjot Singh Khabra has been suspended for four matches of Indian Super League football, including one automatic suspension, and fined Rs 3 lakh for "misconduct" towards match officials during his side's match against NorthEast United FC on October 20 in Guwahati.

Both Chennaiyin and NorthEast United have also been fined Rs 50,000 each for misconduct towards the opponent team (ISL Article 22.2) during this match.


"Harmanjot Singh Khabra, Jersey No.18 of Chennaiyin FC has been suspended for four matches of Hero Indian Super League, including one automatic suspension and fined Rs 300,000 for breach of All India Football Federation Disciplinary Code (Article 50) of Misconduct towards Match Officials during Match 16 played between NorthEast United FC Vs Chennaiyin FC on 20th October 2015 at Indira Gandhi Stadium, Guwahati," the ISL said in a release.


"Additionally the AIFF Disciplinary Committee have fined Chennaiyin FC Rs 100,000 (Rupees One Lakh Only) for Team Misconduct (Article 53) resulting in Match Referee sanctioning more than five players of Chennaiyin FC during this game," it added.


NorthEast beat Chennaiyin 2-0 in that match.
